Fake it Until You Fall Apart

Overview

Too many employees are trying desperately to fake it until they make it, only to fall apart! When change happens fast and new challenges arise, our managers or human resource leaders are on the front lines dealing with the fallout. They are often called upon to be the experts on everything.


This session will focus on how we recalibrate and build awareness of skills that help us respond to pressure without snapping. We’ll take a step back and assess how the ways we view ourselves, the environment, and the systems we work in can break us down or build us up. The majority of the session will focus on live coaching around the specific issues impacting participants to strengthen their resilience and care.

Why this? Why Now?

Fake it till we make it” is a short-term strategy. When stress and pressure are constant (as they are in our current context) falsehood leads to fragility, destabilizing our teams when we most need strength and stability. We need reminders that authenticity and vulnerability aren’t weaknesses but fuel—driving us toward the resources and skills that help us become what we truly need to be.


 What is Artesian Collaboratives approach to this issue?

We get the temptation to pretend that we’ve got it together. We aren’t here to rip away people’s protection but to remind them there are more than two options, being fine and falling apart. By connecting people to their past successes, their abilities to learn and the rich resources available in their community we work together to stop faking it and start making it together.
