How our mental health counselors help you grow

Individual Therapy

Couples & Family Therapy

Fear, sadness and anger often feel contagious. When we are struggling with these issues our families often struggle with us. Luckily, joy, hope, and growth can be infectious as well. When we address problems in their context, we are able to make changes not just for ourselves but with those that matter the most.

Psychological Assessment

Assessment offers diagnostic clarity for clients who may present with symptoms that cross multiple diagnostic categories - such as ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, and depression - or for those who present with major mental illness, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth makes it easier to access comprehensive mental health care for concerns such as stress, anxiety, and depression to more complex conditions such as ADHD or bipolar disorder. It allows our mental health counselors to evaluate symptoms, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans, in a way that fits into real life — whether that means balancing work, caregiving, health challenges, transportation barriers, or simply feeling more at ease in your own space.

Our Team is Glad You're Here!

If you’ve landed on this page, it’s likely that you’re gearing up to take a new step to tackle the challenges in front of you. You may find yourself asking a myriad of questions about who we are, how to find the right mental health counselor, what to expect when you attend therapy and much more. Let us first say, we are so glad you are here.

What we know from research is that psychology services work the best when you feel safe, cared for, and can be honest. There are many different techniques and styles of therapy out there so we encourage all our clients to ask questions! We’ll always work to provide what you need, explain what we are doing, and help connect you to care that works for you, even if that’s not with us! Our goal is to see you thrive.

Your First Session

Each session is personalized. You are a unique individual who comes from a unique background and community. During your first session, it is important for us to take the time to get a snapshot of what’s been going on in your life. From there we can work together to come up with treatment goals that help you move towards growth. In addition to discussing what brought you to this moment, we’ll ask questions about your background, family, and social life. This is a great time to ask as many questions as you want! Feeling comfortable and connected to a therapist is a vital part of therapy, and we make it easy for you to attend therapy in a way that fits your schedule and lifestyle.

Our Approach

At Artesian Collaborative we work with individuals, couples and families as they pursue emotional, behavioral, and relational change. We tailor treatment to the needs of our clients, and we use multiple mental health services in treatment to address the needs and personalities of the people we meet with.  Our focus isn’t just on defining and solving the problem but fostering and developing the skills you need to be successful. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals. Therapy is a relational process and works best with honest and open communication.

As we work together, our sessions can take many forms.

There are many different techniques and styles of therapy. In general, your sessions can be a mix of personal and relational exploration and processing; learning, building and practicing therapeutic skills and techniques.

No topics are off limits in our psychology services. Whether that's religion, race, politics, sexuality, relationships, conflicts or culture; our role is not to tell you what is right and wrong, but to help you understand and navigate your context.

FAQ

How do I know if I need therapy?

If the emotions or situations in your life are significantly impacting your social, physical, relational, spiritual, or work/academic life that is a sign that something is going on. Therapy is just one of the many resources available to help you get the support you need to handle the challenges in your life. If you’re not sure if therapy is the right fit, set up a 15-minute consultation call and ask our therapist’s all your questions!

How long are the sessions?

Typically, sessions are 50-55 minutes long.

How much does therapy cost?  Do you accept insurance?

We are in-network with BCBS PPO, BCBS Choice PPO, BCBS Medicare Advantage HMO, Aetna PPO, Magellan, Medicare, Humana, and Humana Medicare Advantage. If you have a different insurance provider, we can check and see if they provide any coverage for out-of-network providers. Our standard self-pay fee is $250 for an initial evaluation and $200 for individual or family therapy.

What if I can't afford it?

We recognize that some are in a situation where the standard fee is not affordable. We offer a limited number of sliding scale slots, and our therapists will work with you to help connect you to care that fits your needs budget.

How can I schedule an appointment?

There are several ways to schedule an appointment. You can give us a call at 773-980-9679 x1, send an email to connect@artesiancollaborative, or request an appointment using our online form. We also recognize that finding the right therapist fit is key to good outcomes in therapy, so you can also schedule a 15 minute consultation call with any of our available therapists. They can tell you more about our services and help connect you to a therapist who fits your needs.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes! You can meet with any of our therapists via a secure video chat. We also offer in-person counseling sessions at our office in downtown Chicago in the loop.

What should I expect after I schedule?

Once you schedule an appointment, we’ll ask you to send us a copy of your insurance card and date of birth so we can check your insurance benefits and let you know the costs of therapy before your first session. We’ll also send you some forms to fill out before your first session. Those forms gather some details about what's going on and review our privacy policies and confidentiality. We’ll send you the date and time of your appointment with information on how to get to our offices, where to wait, and how we’ll come and get you OR a link to your video session. At any point you can always reach out to your therapist with questions, we’re here to help you!

Where are you located?

Our office address is 77 W. Washington St. Suite 1500, Chicago, IL, 60202.

If you're meeting with one of our therapists in person, our office is located in downtown Chicago in the loop. We're on the 15th floor of the Chicago Temple Building at the corner of W. Washington Street and N. Clark Street, just across the street from Daley Plaza.
