Individual, Couple and Family Therapist
Seeing clients in Illinois, in-person or virtually.
Hi, I’m really glad you’re here.
By the time you have read this, you have already embarked on a therapeutic journey. There are many different roads you can take, but the important thing is that you started down the path. I am here to help you continue moving forward towards the goals you have in your life.
My ideal client is someone who brings their authentic self to each session. I love working with people who allow me the privilege of walking alongside them as we explore the issues, needs, and goals that brought them into the therapy room. Sometimes, you may not have the words to explain everything going on in your life; however, if you still carry the desire to figure out why you are feeling the way that you do, you are in the right place. I don't expect you to wait for me to hand you all the answers—instead, we will commit to working dynamically as a team to discover real solutions together.
As a person-centered therapist, my core mission is to deeply understand how you uniquely experience the world. I believe in using the power of a strong therapeutic alliance to develop a holistic view of every client. From that baseline of trust, we can safely explore the deeper patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to uncover practical solutions and strategies.
My primary clinical specialty is grief and loss, an area of focus that has granted me profound insight into some of life's most powerful and intense human emotions. Having spent years facilitating children's grief groups, I am deeply passionate about helping kids process the loss of a loved one and learn to navigate all the complex emotions associated with grief.
This specialized care naturally extends to their families and caregivers. After a significant loss, a household experiences an immense amount of sorrow; however, it also presents a rare, meaningful opportunity to grow closer and heal as a collective family unit.
Throughout our time together, our focus is never on forgetting, minimizing, or simply "getting over" your struggles or losses. Instead, my priority is to co-create a warm, compassionate space where you can safely learn how to move forward, find your footing, and intentionally adapt to significant changes in your life.
