About the event
What happens when therapy language stops helping us connect — and starts creating distance instead?
In this month’s Community Table, we’re unpacking the growing tension around “weaponizing mental health”: using psychological concepts, diagnoses, boundaries, or therapy language in ways that avoid accountability, shut down conversations, or deepen disconnection.
This conversation is not about shaming people for seeking mental health support. It’s about getting curious about the ways we all misunderstand, misuse, or over-apply psychological language when we’re hurt, overwhelmed, activated, or trying to make sense of conflict.
Together, we’ll explore questions like:
Why do some conversations feel emotionally intelligent but still go nowhere?
What’s the difference between self-awareness and self-protection?
