Overview: While not every child we work with will have a trauma-based diagnosis, or even a clear traumatic incident, it’s hard not to recognize the global traumas that many of them have been living under. From COVID-19, significant acts of racial injustice, economic instability, and increased school and gun violence, there is a heightened level of exposure to distressing and stressful content and information. In this Group CE, we’ll review and discuss adaptations, activities, and resources to engage in trauma-informed CBT interventions with children as young as 6.
Learning Objectives:
Identify and practice cognitive and behavioral interventions and how to apply them to different age ranges and situations
Facilitators:
Sunitha Chandy, PsyD
