What's The Community Table?

Every third Thursday, enjoy access to our therapists, valuable tools, and insights! The Community Table offers free time with our therapists. Each month features a different conversation topic, with options for anonymous participation, no pressure to share. Join us around the virtual table.

Mom Guilt | May 15 2025

We came together for a candid talk on mom guilt with Dr. Sunitha Chandy, PsyD, and Jackie Chavez, LMFT. Attendees heard real stories and expert guidance on why guilt shows up in parenting and how naming it can make room for self-compassion.

We cleared up the difference between guilt “I did something wrong” and shame “I am wrong”, and explored how focusing on influence rather than control can ease stress. Our speakers shared practical tools, embracing imperfection, setting kinder expectations, and showing compassion when fear looks like defensiveness, along with links and resources for further support. It was a welcoming space where questions were encouraged, and everyone left with concrete steps to move forward.

Here's a quick look at what you missed!
